This creature I designed is called the Savannah Tapir. It is the only member of the tapir family to reside in Africa, where its name comes from. It uses its prehensile nose and long tounge to reach for branches and shrubs in the African savannah. It has long tusks that protrude from its lower jaw and has keratin "armor" growing allong its spine. The armor is a series of gigantic hairs which split off starting at the thoracic vertibrae all the way down to just above the tail. The hairs layer upon one another and shortly after thier third month of life begin to merge, forming a sturdy overlaping "coat" of armor. It resembles a rhino, a boar (from which it gets its latin name "Giant Boar Tapir") and an armadillo. Here are four views of my creature.
